PRESS RELEASE
Third Judicial District
Administrative District Judge Gregory M. Culet announced today the selection of
Dan C. Grober from Homedale,
Idaho as Magistrate Judge for Owyhee County. Mr. Grober was selected
from a field of 15 applicants at a meeting of the Third District Magistrates
Commission in Murphy, Idaho
on August 3, 2007.
Mr. Grober will be filling the
vacancy left by the Honorable Thomas J. Ryan who was appointed in July to fill
a district judge position left vacant in the Third Judicial District by the
retirement of the Honorable James C. Morfitt.
Mr. Grober received his
undergraduate degree from Eastern Illinois University,
a graduate degree from Boise State University
and his law degree from the University
of Idaho. Prior to practicing law, Mr. Grober worked as a journalist, a criminal investigator and
a high school English teacher. From 1989
through 1996, Mr. Gober served as Assistant Bar
Counsel for the Idaho State Bar Association.
Since 1996, Mr. Gober has maintained a general
law practice in Homedale, Idaho.
Mr. Grober is an Owyhee County
resident and will be assuming his new duties on September 4, 2007.
