Administrative Order 96-2: Consolidation of District Court Cases

Whereas the efficient administration of justice in the district would be enhanced by the application of a consistent policy with regard to the consolidation of cases,

It is hereby ordered that whenever two or more district court civil or criminal actions are ordered consolidated, the actions shall be consolidated into the action with the oldest case number, which shall become the lead case.

It is further ordered that the judge assigned to the lead case at the time of the consolidation shall assume jurisdiction over all actions which are subject to the consolidation order.
