The
Magistrates Commission of the Third Judicial District is seeking applicants for
the position of Magistrate Judge for Adams County to replace Judge James Peart who will be assuming a reduced senior magistrate
judge schedule. This position will be chambered at the Adams County Courthouse
in Council, Idaho.
The
position will be available July 1, 2013.
An
attorney who has attained the age of thirty years, has been admitted to the
practice of law for at least five years, and is currently licensed to practice
law in the State of Idaho is eligible to submit an application for the vacancy.
A magistrate judge must be a qualified elector of the State of Idaho, and after
appointment, shall reside in the county for which the magistrate judge is
appointed. The appointee may be assigned to hear cases throughout the judicial
district and may also be assigned outside the district by the Idaho Supreme
Court. The annual salary for the position is $109,300.00, plus state benefits.
